About the project

The Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) was a major $1.6 billion transport infrastructure project designed to improve freight efficiency, reduce heavy vehicle traffic through Toowoomba’s urban areas and provide a safer, more reliable route across the Toowoomba Range.

Project scope

Delivery of reinforced concrete works for bridge substructures and superstructures as part of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing.

Delivery of fauna crossing culverts and bench drains.

Outcomes

Removal of heavy trucks from Toowoomba's city centre and reduction of travel time by up to 40 minutes.

Achieved high-quality finishes on bridge headstocks across multiple bridge structures within a major transport infrastructure project.

Demonstrated Niepe Construction’s capability in delivering complex FRP works for large-scale bridge infrastructure.

Install and removal of complex scaffolding to provide safe access to high-height work platforms for execution of works.

Supported the successful opening of a key freight route improving connectivity and efficiency across the Toowoomba region.
